Here is what all happened this weekend here at the race track. Saturday we had Dale
“Possum” Mardlin taking on Clint “Sniper” Cadieux. Clint would be making his first
appearance in a final and would try to cut the tree down as he would go RED EYE
-.007 giving Dale the win.
In Sunday’s money final we would have a pair Mustangs throwing it down. Joe
“The Pizza Man” Persi Jr., in his 1977 Ford Mustang taking on Greg” Hollywood”
Kish, in his 1966 Mustang. Joe would be chasing Greg and Joe would pick up the win
light as he would drill Greg on the tree picking up the win. On the lights Greg was a
.056 reaction time to Joe Persi’s .048. Greg would breakout with a 6.77 on a
6.78. Joe would be dead on the dial 6.38.
In the Trophy class Saturday we would have Jake
“The Snake” Richardson, making his debut taking on
Leon Vick. Leon would pick up the win light right at the
hit as Jake would go RED EYE giving the win to Leon.
In Sundays Trophy race we had Don Marsh taking on
John Johnroe in an all Mopar
final. John would dial it up with a 7.25 to Marsh 7.85. John would end it before
it even make the finish line going read -0.42 but Marsh would have been tough
knocking over the tree with a .013. Marsh would run 1 off as
John would be a 7.29 on his 7.25 attempt.
In the Junior Dragster eliminator it would be a battle at the top on
Sunday as Austin Williams would take on Hunter Talaski. Hunter
would post up a 9.47 and be chasing as Austin would leave first
with a 9.57 in the Halfscale. Talaski would have him at the hit with
a .101 reaction time and jump on the binders running a 9.61 to
Austins 9.66. Hunter would pick up the win light and get ready for
Sunday but as it would stand on Sunday Austin would make a
second appearance against a new driver in Justin Moody with crew
chief Vic and Sonny Moody. Justin would be leaving first with a dial
up 11.20 to Austin 9.50. Justin would have a reaction time of .421
to Austins .131. Moody would try to hold off the hard charging
Williams but couldn’t do it as Austin would pick up his second
win of the weekend running a 9.62 to Moody 11.27.
